Traps and Anti-Patterns

  • Standing pat on your skill set, assuming status quo is in your favor.

  • Assuming that team training is enough work in conditioning, skill development, knowledge transfer.

  • Failing to address injury, fitness and conditioning issues aggressively

  • Using unrefined skills in critical situations.

  • Lazy mind, using the same technique over and over.

  • playing it too safe, or too loose, in practice.

  • Abstaining from a defending decision

  • Pulling up from fear of contact, versus trying to avoid contact.
